Whether I’ve got a coffee in hand while looking out from my studio at the birds in my garden, or looking at them through binoculars from a blustery headland, I never cease to be amazed how wonderful they are. Whatever kind of day I’ve had, they always put a smile on my face which is one reason (out of many!) why I try to capture their characters and their antics, as well as their grace.
All the birds that you see on my website amused and enthralled me in my back garden and my local area, as well as on my travels over the past few years.
I have also realised in the last few years, that my love for primates is equal to that of our feathered friends and I wanted to do something to try and help to protect them. So when you select any original painting, sketch or print of primates from my website, I’ll donate 40% for original artwork and 20% for prints to one of the following non-profit organisations – Borneo Orangutan Survival, Orangutan Foundation International and Liberia Chimp Rescue Protection.
I hope you enjoy looking at my paintings as much as I enjoy painting them.

I am a self-taught artist from a family with a strong tradition in painted media, and have painted and sketched all my life. I worked for many years in the Music Industry in a variety of jobs, which included both directing and producing music videos, until I moved out of London to live in the New Forest in 2007.
If you have any questions about any of the artwork on this website, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
